BrightIdeas is a research project for Year 12 students across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire that seeks to combine scientific literature with patient insight.ย Throughout the year, students enrolled in the programme will attend an online Launch and Mid-point Review event via Zoom, as well as an in-person 3-night summer school (subject to COVID-19 restrictions) at either the University of Kent or the University of Sussex.ย
The BrightMed programme is open to students from Year 9 to Year 13 living in Sussex and meeting certain widening participation criteria. As a โBrightMedderโ, young people will take part in regular Saturday sessions that involve knowledge sessions, activity days, lectures and seminars.
