This is the first date where you can register your account (i.e. create your web account).
This is the first date where you can book your UCAT exam. We recommend you do this as soon as possible as slots are often taken quickly. You are also allowed to adjust your date after booking at a later time. UCAT tests taken in the UK or EU cost £75. Those taken outside the EU cost £120. Please note that a UCAT bursary is available on their website.
This is the first date you can book the UCAT for. We recommend you give yourself at least 4 weeks to study for the UCAT. However, ideally you should begin 6-8 weeks before your UCAT exam date. Check our SuperHub out for more tips.
This is the first day from which centres can register candidates. Usually this is done through your school. The standard fee is £49 (EU and UK students). If you are taking the exam outside the EU, the cost is £83.
This is the last date you can book your UCAT exam. If you are applying for Medicine please ensure you have booked your UCAT exam by this date. Ideally, book as soon as possible as your options significantly reduce as you approach this date. Please note you can change your test date at a later time (check the UCAT website for more details).
This is the last day that the UCAT exam can be taken. We recognise different people have different circumstances, however, we highly recommend that you do not submit your UCAS until you know your UCAT score. We also recommend you take the UCAT at the end of August (start-mid September at the latest). This will give you time to focus on your personal statement and potentially your BMAT if you are sitting it. If you aren't sitting the BMAT you will have more flexibility, however, your personal statement is still very important.
This is the last day for *normal* registration. Please note that you can apply for late-fee registration after this date. The deadline for this is 15th October. However, we highly recommend you avoid this scenario to ensure no issues with submitting your registration. The late fee is £35 which must be paid in addition to the standard fee (£49). You may also be entitled to an entry fee reimbursement. Please check out the BMAT website for more information.
Deadline takes place at 18:00 (UK time). This includes the vast majority of courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science and dentistry. You may add your fifth option at a later date if the deadline for it is not 15th October 2021. We highly recommend you work hard to stick to internal school deadlines and aim to have your application fully ready for final review at the end of September. A rushed application is not ideal for anyone and may hurt your chances! Early planning and sticking to a schedule during your Summer holidays will help avoid this.
This is the day that the BMAT test takes place. It is usually done at your exam centre (i.e. school).
Results for the BMAT are released at 09:00 BST online. Results are sent automatically to UK universities.
